Sandplay Courses, Creative Trauma and Therapeutic Arts Training UK
Are you drawn to using sandplay and therapeutic arts in your work?
Creative space to care for yourself and your clients
We use sandplay and therapeutic arts to offer both expression and containment. This is especially important after the pressures of Covid, the cost of living crisis and the war in Ukraine. These traumas can put us as counsellors at danger of burn out.
You may sometimes feel your client load is very heavy. Working creatively with therapeutic arts can help relieve that stress. We believe that using creativity in therapy sessions benefits both your clients’ and your own mental health.
Sandplay therapy and creative arts are brilliant ways to understand and process feelings with children. They also help clients of all ages to express their emotions non-verbally.
Created for you
Each of our courses has been created, tested and developed by Jill Carter, who is the UK’s leading creative trainer for sandplay courses.
School counsellors, psychotherapists, arts therapists and psychologists will especially benefit from our approach. Likewise, play therapists, wellbeing or mental health practitioners and social workers are welcome.
We will help you with a combination of support, learning and nourishment. You will feel confident in your work with complex trauma in children, adolescents and/or adults.

NEW DATES ADDED FOR 2023
This is a full creative counselling supervision training for post qualifying counsellors, psychotherapists and play therapists. Other professionals from mental health, social work and education are also welcome.

Expert, friendly, supportive training
“Jill led workshops which were very well organised. She gave lots of recommendations for pre-reading in addition to the generous provision of articles and creative resources. Her clear yet empathic approach created an environment for learning and self-reflection. She modelled her vast range of therapeutic skills and knowledge of complex trauma, which was very helpful. Jill invited some interesting practitioners into the workshops to give insights into different methods of working creatively. The workshops were heavily based upon experiential learning. I found them very powerful and life-enhancing. Despite the course being online due to Covid-19 restrictions, Jill created and held a very safe and nurturing space”.
